Where Care Meets Career.Registered Nurse - Henry County - Home Care ($Sign-on Bonus$) ResponsibilitiesThe Registered Nurse is responsible for providing care and treatment for clients that are experiencing significant mental health/psychiatric symptoms, who are demonstrating significant functional impairments, and who may have co-occurring substance abuse and/or personality disorder.Attends and actively participates in weekly team meetingsProvides rehabilitation and coordinates medical needs for clientsMedication Monitoring and Administration by oral medication or needle injectionsMedication training for staffOrders, reviews, monitors, and discontinues medications as ordered by the physicianAssists with keeping within assigned nursing budgetConducts assessmentsApproves plan of care and service delivery methodsPerforms competency and skills evaluations on employees who provide direct careInforms the physician and staff of changes in the client's medical or mental condition and needsCoordinates psychiatric information with the psychiatric rehabilitation practitionersWrites progress notes, summaries, and dischargesGroup and Individual CounselingCase ManagementImplements the treatment/rehabilitative activities and strategiesCrisis PreventionReports significant/major incidents or accidentsProvides and arranges necessary medical services to ensure consumer health and safetyFollows consumer health plansProvides and promotes consumer choice and facilitate independenceAssists with ensuring compliance with contractual, legal, and regulatory requirementPerforms other duties designed to improve employee effectiveness as a member of the teamPromotes/encourages community integration and choice makingDependableConducts self in professional and ethical mannerWilling to assist othersWorks independently and with a teamHandles information in a confidential mannerCommunicates in an open and honest mannerNotifies proper authorities of circumstances or situations that present possible health hazardsAssists in maintaining and updating nursing, pharmacy, infection control, and health and safety policies and proceduresOther tasks as assignedSpecific RequirementsMust be 21 years of ageHolds a bachelor's degree in nursing or related health and human services field from an accredited college or university with at least 2,000 hours of experience with adult persons who have a serious psychiatric disabilityOR holds an RN from an accredited two-year program and has more than 6,000 hours of experience with adult persons who have a serious psychiatric disabilityValid ...
