Job Summary/Visionary statement:
The person hired for the position of Consulting Services Manager will have a passion for imparting their knowledge and expertise in clinical documentation improvement to both their customers and their employee team as well as providing innovative solutions to solve customers’ business opportunities.
Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Assume responsibility/overall management oversight for engagements that are typically medium to large scale systems with the risk confined to the project and high business impact
Assist Consulting Services in obtaining set revenue goals
Management and growth of team members, medical record coding, documentation, compliance and DRG project management for I-10 services
Provides direct supervision to assigned employees through leadership, coaching, training and development, allocating work assignments, review of progress in achieving objectives, managing employee compensation, performance appraisals, diversity, disability, all relevant employee data, etc. Understands and enforces corporate/location policies and procedures. Takes appropriate action to address policy violations
Providing education on coding, documentation, compliance and working with related 3M products and consulting service delivery as well as specialty programs related to individual areas of expertise
Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited university
RHIA, RHIT or RN Certification
Minimum of six (6) years of consulting experience
Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory or management experience
Ability to travel up to 75% of the time
Bachelor’s or Master's degree in HIM, Nursing, or other healthcare clinical background from an accredited university
Proven ability to maintain superior customer and employee relations in a fast-paced environment
Excellent verbal, written, presentation, analytical and organizational skills
Proven ability to maintain a positive attitude in a team environment
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Proven ability to work independently and produce excellent results
Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Location: Atlanta, GA
Travel: May include up to 75% domestic
Relocation: Is not authorized
