3M is seeking a Performance Data Advisor for the Health Information Systems Division located in Atlanta, GA or 3M HIS Office Locations.Job Summary/Visionary statement:The person hired for the position of Performance Data Advisor will successfully coach clients in Clinical Documentation Improvement. Analyzing client documentation improvement processes and key performance indicators, analyzing data for opportunities for improvement, and recognizing anomalies in the data, with ability to make appropriate recommendations to client.Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:Guiding Metric improvements using 3M web tools, Pinpoint and Compare, Profiling and 360, CDIS reports, as well as extensive knowledge and experience in all aspects of Clinical Concurrent Documentation ImprovementCoaching clients on areas of success as well as areas of needs improvementPresenting summarized data to clients; and discussing the findings in the data. Making recommendations on action items and steps for improvement. Working with a Project Leader to coach and develop that client towards improvement, based on your data analysisDeveloping customized recommendations for improving client documentation processes and results Expert skills in healthcare data analysis, report writing and verbal presentationsCustomize reports, discuss and present data to C-level hallway, Medical staff, CDI/HIM management, as well as CDI and in-patient Coding teamAble to successfully interpret and apply Medicare and other payer documentation and coding rulesWork closely with Client Success Managers, Project Leaders and Sales team to address clients needs and concernsRegulations for DRG assignmentMay include up to 50% travelBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited universityBSN/RN, RHIT, and/or RHIA certificationMinimum of five (5) combined years of experience in clinical nursing and clinical documentation improvement, and/or hospital codingMinimum of three (3) combined years of analyzing and processing healthcare data, identifying anomalies in current and historical data, and/or recommending corrective courses of actionAbility to travel up to 50% of the timePreferred Qualifications:ICD-10 Certified.Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (RN), APN, Medical Dr., or a business or health information degreePossess skills in data collection, analysis and mathAbility to identify anomalies in current and historical data, and recommend corrective courses of actionProficient in the application of computer skills (e.g., Word, PowerPoint and Excel)Demonstrate ability to improve on these skills through career development activitiesConsulting experience or comparable experience that demonstrates expert skills in healthcare data analysisReport writing and verbal presentationsRecord of applying clinical principles to a range of areas Demonstrated ability to identify, access and utilize resources (e.g., government regulations, scientific literature, etc.)Demonstrated skills in technically sound oral and written communicationsDemonstrated speaking and teaching both for large group settings and remotelyDemonstrated medical terminology competenceProven track record in successful client relationships including, but not limited to, add on sales and/or positive client references for 3MPrevious experience as an independent 3M Project Lead/Manager strongly desiredProven track record in successfully dealing with high profile and/or problematic clientsCan successfully interact with client executives, middle management and staffTeam player who can function in a totally independent role requiring minimal supervision, while working with a professional teamLocation: Atlanta, GA or 3M HIS Office LocationsTravel: May include up to 50% domesticRelocation: Is not authorizedVEVRAA Federal ContractorRequest Priority Protected Veteran ReferralsEOE -Veteran /Disabled/Minority/AA/F/M/SO
