This employee is an expert on The Joint Commission standards and required reporting and compliance regulations. Must be able to independently lead all accreditation and regulatory efforts. Responsible for Continuous Readiness Program encompassing WellStar Atlanta Medical Center Downtown Hospital, WellStar Atlanta Medical Center South Campus and all associated Hospital Outpatient Departments. Readiness conducted through active audits and an active inspection program for compliance with TJC, CMS and other pertinent regulatory standards. Provides house-wide support for education regarding standards. Serves as TJC coordinator for the hospital in conjunction with Director of Quality and Patient Safety. Is an expert on data management and analysis. Is able to independently lead PI processes house wide. Serves as consultant to the Medical Staff Committees and Department Managers. Coordinates with physicians in real-time and retrospectively on regulatory standards compliance. Participates in the hospital policies and procedures committee and any other committee as assigned. Supervises and guides Accreditation Program staff with all quality improvement efforts and reporting requirements.
Required Minimum Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (Bachelor’s Degree required); or Graduate of an accredited college or university (Bachelor’s Degree required).
Required Minimum Experience: 3 years’ experience with regulatory agency requirements (preferably The Joint Commission)
Required Minimum Skills: Must be able to multi-task, be flexible, possess organization skills to support a multi-component system; travel between components; occasional out of town travel for seminars, etc.
