JOB DESCRIPTION:

Assists in the development and implementation of program initiatives which may include the preparation of briefing materials, reports, correspondence and other documents, performing research, developing and maintaining databases, and developing promotional materials. Communicates with national and possibly international program contacts. Tracks program expenditures, and may participate in the budget preparation process. May draft, edit and process grant proposals. Prepares and distributes reports. Coordinates logistical arrangements for meetings, conferences and travel. Performs related responsibilities as required.

ADDITIONAL JOB DETAILS:

The “Building Nursing’s Diverse Leadership at Emory” (BUNDLE) program is a federally funded educational project to prepare nursing students from disadvantaged and underrepresented backgrounds to enter the public health nursing workforce as leaders who provide care to underserved populations and who can make a difference in local communities. A major focus of the BUNDLE program will be on reducing the social and structural forces that act as barriers to the enrollment and retention of students from underrepresented and disadvantaged backgrounds. The Program Coordinator will assist the director and faculty on various aspects of the program including: student recruitment and progression, planning and tracking of student activities, day to day activities of the program, secretarial/assistant support, and planning of faculty development activities. The Program Coordinator will communicate and work with faculty, community agencies, mentors and students to ensure the efficient operation of the program. The Project Coordinator will work closely with the Principal Investigator in preparation of reports and fiscal management with Emory University Office of Sponsored Programs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
