Our caregivers focus on each unique patient to deliver the appropriate care and emotional support to our patients and their families.This is a remote/virtual auditing position with work completed 100% from employee-s home office conducting Clinical Utilization Review (UR) and Coding activities for assigned location(s) of responsibility, in accordance with company policies and procedures. The position is paid a contract rate for each Clinical record reviewed; be prepared to complete a minimum of ten (10) UR audits per week.As a Utilization Review Specialist - PRN , you will:Work with all assigned locations to assure accurate ICD-10 coding and OASIS responses. Review OASIS documentation to ensure accurate coding and provides feedback to branch clinical staff regarding areas in need of improvement relating to clinical documentation that accurately reflects the patient-s condition and needs and supports payer requirements.Review OASIS, assessment documents, and medical coding at individual locations to ensure consistent application and follow through.Keep abreast of pertinent industry utilization, medical and OASIS coding practice standards and guidelines for both payers, as well as providers, and ensure all applicable processes are in alignment with company process and standards.Participate in educating branch and regional staff in best documentation practices and protocols of care that drive both excellent clinical outcomes, as well as ensuring accurate financial reimbursement for services provided.Required SkillsBachelors degree preferredCurrent R.N., R.P.T, or S.T. licensure requiredCurrent OASIS-C (COS-C and/or HCS-O) and ICD-10 coding certifications (HCS-D and/or BCHH-C) requiredA minimum of three (3) years of professional experience preferred in Home Health and/or HospiceExcellent understanding of OASIS and Medical Coding practiceStrong knowledge of Home Health and/or Hospice regulationsEmployee must have access to current Home Health code book and/or online Home health Coding CenterCurrent, up-to-date computer systemDual monitors preferred but not requiredRequired ExperienceGirling, Girling Home Health, Girling Hospice, AmHeart Hospice, Asian American Home Health, Asian American Hospice, Girling Healthcare, Harden Home Health, Harden Hospice, Healthfield, Iowa Hospice, Missouri Home Care of Rolla, Omega Hospice, The Home Option, Girling Community Care, Odyssey, Vista Care, VistaCare, Olsten Kimberley Quality Care MONAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or national origin.Job LocationAtlanta, Georgia, United StatesPosition TypePRNEqual Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities.
