Description

Main Responsibilities:

  • Work with Senior Clinical Editor and Vice President, Clinical Content, to identify new product ideas

  • Maintain knowledge in the areas of nursing specialty and stay abreast of current clinical changes and gold standard practices

  • Perform regularly scheduled literature searches on appropriate subjects related to content in specific Skill collections

  • Work in collaboration with the content subject matter experts and peer reviewers to review, revise, and create clinical skill content

  • Create, maintain, and update guidelines and other educational materials

  • Collaborate with members of the editorial team to maintain consistency throughout the content

  • Oversee the work of editors to ensure that each project conforms to established clinical and editorial standards

  • Communicate, follow up, and track customer content queries

  • Participate in market research, planning, and implementation

  • Develop product description, table of contents, and sample materials based on market research findings

  • Create product hot sheets and other resources to ensure accuracy of marketing materials

  • Operate within the approved budget and schedule for each project

  • Prepare and transmit complete and accurate content documents to the Project Manager

  • Work closely with sales support, marketing, and the skills development team to ensure that product launch and implementation are on track and appropriately coordinated

  • Attend trade shows as directed

  • Act as an expert resource to the Clinical Solutions team and other colleagues

Qualifications

  • 8-10 years medical-surgical, critical care, or other nursing specialty.

  • MSN required

  • Minimum of 5 years publishing industry experience

  • Excellent writing, organizational, and interpersonal skills

  • Must be detail-oriented, decisive, and capable of meeting deadlines

  • Experience with Microsoft word using track changes and Excel
