Service Area Overview: Extraordinary GI servicesThe GI Services Department at Northside Hospital performs a full range of GI endoscopy diagnostic and therapeutic procedures across the system’s seven GI Endoscopy Units located in the Atlanta, Cherokee, Forsyth campuses. Position Description: The GI Lab Tech provides assistance to the physician & direct care to the adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient. Also, performs delegated unit tasks as assigned by the Registered Nurse.
Position Requirements: REQUIRED: 1. High School Diploma 2. Basic Life Support (BLS) 3. GTS Certification within 12 months of start date 4. Minimum one (1) year experience in an acute care related area PREFERRED: 1. Completion of accredited medical assistant course 2. CNA/PCT Certification 3. GTS Certification 4. Certified Surgical Tech.Previous GI/Endoscopy exp is strongly desired.
