The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation is recruiting for a physician to work as an inpatient consultant, in both a community freestanding acute cae hospital as well as several skilled nursing facilities. Consults in the acute care center will include inpatients in the ICU, step down units and wards including stroke, brain injury, central nervous system tumors, spinal cord injury, and multiple trauma. The consultant in the skilled nursing facilities will serve as an inpatient rehabilitation service for patients with acute rehabilitation needs. These will include orthopedic and central nervous system dysfunction.

Board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation
Additional Job Details:
Outpatient services to be developed in conjunction with both of the inpatient consult services include general rehabilitation involving musculoskeletal as well as neurologic conditions. Likely procedures will include spasticity management with baclofen and phenol, as well as degenerative joint and musculoskeletal conditions requiring trigger and/or joint injections.
