The NP performs comprehensive assessments, diagnoses, orders, conducts, supervises and interprets diagnostic and laboratory test, prescribes pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatments in the direct management of acute and chronic illness and disease. The NP promotes health and the prevention of illness and injury. The NP practices autonomously and in collaboration with other health care professional to treat and manage patient health problems. The roles of the NP includes, direct patient/family care, consultation, research, patient/families/ groups/ and communities advocacy, performance improvement, and leadership & professional development.QUALIFICATIONSCurrent Georgia License as a Registered Professional Nurse s requiredCurrent Georgia Authorization/Certification as a NP Advanced Practice Registered Professional Nurse is requiredCurrent American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is requiredMaster's Degree in Nursing from the Georgia Board of Nursing Graduate School NP program is requiredPrevious experience in area of specialty preferredEOE-Females/Minorities/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities.
