Whether you have many years of experience or are in the early stages on your career, you can find a rewarding career at Grady!SUMMARYThe Patient Care Technician (PCT) under the supervision of a Professional Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, and/or Physician is responsible for providing age-appropriate, culturally and ethnically sensitive care, maintaining a safe environment, collecting information, communicating effectively and utilizing technology. The PCT provides personal care of selected patients; assists with activities of daily living, provides comfortmeasures and nourishments. The PCT also performs selected tasks and therapies as delegated by a licensed professional. The role of the PCT also includes patient advocacy, teaching and performance improvement. The PCT primarily functions in the inpatient settings.QUALIFICATIONSHigh school diploma or equivalent required.Successful completion of a PCT Program or successful completion of the Basic Nursing Fundamental course from an accredited School of Nursing.Current American Heart Association approved Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.EOE-Females/Minorities/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities.
