Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION:The Program Director, Policies and Procedures will be responsible for managing the policies, procedures, protocols and forms approval and updating process for Emory Healthcare and for maintaining the policy management system to meet regulatory, quality and organization requirements. Ensures consistent, effective utilization of the policy management system. This leadership role will: 1. Provide administrative oversight, ownership and on-going maintenance to a unified policy management system and structure, 2. Collaborate with Operating Unit leadership to assure standardization across EHC, 3. Ensure use of approved standard templates, 4. Support the systematic review and policy, procedures, protocols and forms integration, 5. Manage approval process and governance, 6. Serves as a liaison with legal, accreditation and other key stakeholders to ensure comprehensive research and review for high risk policies 7. Provide oversight for dissemination of new policies and procedure to all EHC staff and providers. 8. Maintain the "Policy Consolidation" webpage 9. Create and provide training and education for policy manager software and overall management of policies, procedures, protocols and forms. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree from an accredited college or university in health or business administration, nursing, library sciences or other health-related field. In lieu of a Master's degree, candidates with 10 years leadership experience in policy management, risk management, nursing, healthcare accreditation or quality may be considered.
