Exciting and rareopportunity to join Publicis Touchpoint Solutions in support of a leading raredisease biopharmaceutical company!

We are currently seeking a qualified, highly motivated,experienced individual with a documented track record of success for theposition of Specialty Sales Representative. This position is primarily locatedin the hospital market place and specialty clinics.

The Specialty Sales Representative calls on Health Care Professionals (Physicians, Nurses, Pharmacists, etc.) involved inthe treatment of rare and orphan diseases. Customers primarily includeHematologists, Internists, Pediatricians and their staff. The Specialty SalesRepresentative is responsible for all aspects of sales, market development andstrategic business planning and implementation for our Client within the assignedterritory. This individual works interdependently with Account Management,Marketing and Sales Operations, as appropriate, to assure the pull-throughstrategies and tactics will achieve the desired sales results.

Essential duties and responsibilities includebut are not limited to the following:

The Specialty Sales Representative isresponsible for developing and fostering long-term relationships withphysicians and supporting staff, key thought leaders, hospitals, organizedhealth systems and other applicable institutions in the assigned territory inorder to generate significant sales of Client's product(s). This position isrequired to represent the Client in a high professional and ethicalmanner.

  • Achieves and exceeds sales objectives for the territory.

  • Attains specified goals for calls on appropriate accounts and healthcare professionals.

  • Communicates balanced, accurate, and complete information on Client's products to HCP.

  • Manages assigned territory in an efficient and orderly manner through effective business planning and implementation.

  • Administrative excellence is required, including call reporting, budget management, expense reporting, special projects, etc.

  • Operates the territory within the assigned expense budget.

  • Complies with all state and federal laws, regulations and guidelines including PhRMA Code on Interactions with Healthcare Professionals, as well as, complying with all Client's standards and policies relating to all job activities.

Requirements for the position:

  • Knowledge of patient flow and treatment options in the Hospital and outpatient environments.

  • Knowledge of reimbursement issues in the healthcare industry including managed care, institutional and retail market channels, disease states, and how those and other factors interact.

  • Successful experience in adding pharmaceutical products to hospital formularies.

  • Ability to link solutions to patient customer needs, deliver a compelling presentation, display personal conviction, and establish credibility and trust.

  • Ability to gather customer-specific information, analyze quantitative data, and interpret information.

  • Ability to clarify customer interests, address customer issues, and manage customer expectations.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Strong time-management, organizational and planning skills.

  • Ability to effectively apply newly learned knowledge and skills.

  • Computer skills - Word and Excel.

  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

  • Valid driver's license and good driving record (no more than three moving violations within the past three years).

  • B.S or B.A degree with a minimum of five years' experience as a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative including a minimum of two years of hospital or specialty sales experience.

  • Account management experience in a healthcare environment is preferred.

  • Ability to travel up to 75%, to include overnight travel for meetings. Other travel is required by your territory.
