Position Description: The Lactation Consultant will be responsible for maintaining high standards in advanced lactation practice while serving as a resource person for both patients and health care providers. Responsibilities also include assisting in patient/staff education and support, comprehensive assessment of patient and family needs, identification of outcomes based on the needs assessment and for establishment of a plan of care.
Position Requirements: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. Demonstrated proficiency in skills applicable to designated area within probationary period. Two (2) years experience in nursing, with minimum of one (1) year in experience in lactation/obstetrics preferred. Certified in cardio-pulmonary (CPR). Basic problem solving skills.
