JOB SUMMARY:

Functions under the direction of the shift Coordinator to ensure the cleanliness of facilities. Is responsible for carrying out set plans and leading department activities/projects of the shift to ensure all hospital areas are safe, orderly and in sanitary condition. The job may entail access, cleaning or transporting of hazardous, pharmaceutical, chemo-therapy, chemical, soiled or other regulated materials. Individuals will be trained and authorized to handle the appropriate duties in their assigned areas.

Required Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Required Minimum Experience: Two years in the Environmental Services/Housekeeping field

Required Minimum Skills: Good written and oral communication skills, organizational skills, basic computer skills.

Mastery of all cleaning procedures/techniques, floor care and the proper operation of all floor care equipment, proper execution of all task performed by the Environmental Services Technicians I, II and III.

Ability to effectively communicate with diverse work groups and other departments.

Ability to lead and train employees.

Ability to demonstrate compliance with all organizational and department rules and regulations.

Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
