The Water Safety Instructor functions under the direction of the Program Supervisor. This Instructor is certified by the American Red Cross to teach swimming lessons and water safety to children and adults ranging from 6 months of age and up. American Red Cross protocol is followed for the curriculum. The instructor will also carry CPR and First Aid certifications as well.
Required Minimum Education : High School Diploma, GED or currently enrolled in high school. Instructor must possess American Red Cross WSI, CPR and First Aid certifications.
Required Minimum Experience : Experience preferred but will train under supervisors direction.
Required Minimum Skills : Display strong motivation for community outreach and working with children and adults. Displays excellent communication and motivational skills. Displays excellent health and wellness lifestyle.
