Title: Payroll SpecialistLocation: Norcross, GAPOSITION SUMMARY:Under general supervision, performs clerical and data entry work at the full-performance level by preparing hourly and salaried payrolls for computer processing and the issuance of paychecks. May prepare accompanying personnel- related information such are labor reports and wage verifications.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Process and balance payroll information reported from facility. Process employee verifications and other external requests. Review employee data for accuracy. Fulfill misc. payroll requirements for all payrolls (e.g. wires, manual checks, stop payment, direct deposit reversal, etc.) Validate all earning and deductions on all payroll processing results. Assist field payroll partners with problem resolution. Print all necessary reports and distribute to facilities. Process direct deposit setup requests. Assist with quarterly and annual reports. Assist in developing new policies and procedures. Assist in special payroll-related projects. Review manual check requests for accuracy. Update employee records in HRMS. Review and manually adjust timecards in AE. Audit timecard records for accuracy. Ensure that facilities adhere to FLSA rules and regulations. Document payroll processes and procedures. Other duties as assigned.LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or equivalent. Must have a strong knowledge of payroll practices and laws. Strong knowledge of payroll practices and laws. Must be able to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret programs, goals, policies, and procedures. Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills.
