Title: Staff Accountant - CorporateLocation: Norcross, GAPOSITION SUMMARY:Prepares balance sheet, profit and loss statements and other financial reports. Responsibilities also include analyzing trends, cost, and revenues. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the position. Works under general supervision. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for completion and maintenance of general ledger and financial reports. Responsible for completion and accuracy of municipal returns (personal, business, occupational, etc.) Analyze expenses for accruals. Responsible for filing and organization of all appropriate paperwork related to job duties. Able to carry out the duties and responsibilities of this job (with or without reasonable accommodation) without posing specific or current risk of substantial harm to the health and safety of self and others. Able to respond to change productively and handle additional projects as assigned. Responsible for completions and accuracy of cost report analysis. Assist with specialized projects. Responsible for completion of monthly routine revenue and expense reconciliation's. Responsible for completion of all shared spreadsheets in an accurate and timely manner. (i.e. loan payments, accounts receivable) Provide internal requested information in a timely manner. Copy and file loan payments in loan notebook. Responsible for accurate submission of current month, leases, utilities, etc for payment. Make adjusting entries to correct or reclass incorrect transactions in a timely manner including Interco transactions. Assist in training bookkeeper at facilities/agency as needed. Responsible for seeing accounts payable is received and distributed to the accounts payable department in a timely manner. Ensure that general ledger account numbers are correct on accounts payable input sheet before submission to the accounts payable department. Assist with audit preparation. Responsible for accurate completion and timely filing of quarterly payroll reports. Reconcile balance sheet accounts for accuracy. Acts as liaison between facility/agency and corporate office in accounting area. Analyze financial statements for variations in actual to budgeted expense to assist administrator and regional/director in explaining variances. Reconcile and maintain bank accounts.LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's Degree required in accounting or related field preferred. 2-4 years experience in the Healthcare field or related area.
