WellStar Health System has a new and exciting opportunity for a Director of Rehabilitation Services at North Fulton Hospital! This Director reports directly to the Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. He/she will also function within WellStar Health System rehabilitation strategy led by the Assistant Vice President Outpatient Rehabilitation and Sport Medicine. This leader will adhere to all state, federal and other regulatory agency requirements and hold the rehabilitation team accountable to identified requisites.

Key duties and responsibilities for this role include the following:

  • Developing, organizing, coordinating and facilitating unit specific strategies to achieve facility objectives including ongoing collaboration with Medical Director.

  • Translating the system vision to departmental, operational strategies, prioritizing and executing those strategies

  • Integrating varied rehabilitation practices, standards, policies and procedures to insure optimization of resources

  • Monitoring the Rehab industry to insure regulatory awareness and compliance while facilitating a competitive position in the market

  • Establishing an environmental framework that celebrates cultural diversity, communication, business ethics, accountability and empowerment

  • Developing and managing a fiscal, operational plan that supports facility strategic imperatives

Qualifications and selection criteria for the ideal candidate include:

Required Minimum Education: Graduate of an accredited College or University with a Bachelor's Degree. Prefer Bachelor’s degree in Physical, Occupational or Speech Therapy, Nursing, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or other related field. Masters degree preferred; licensed in Georgia in respective discipline

Required Minimum Certification : licensed in Georgia in respective discipline (PT, OT, SLP, RN)

Required Minimum Experience: Seven + years experience in managing multiple disciplines, preferably in a large or multi-hospital system.

Required Minimum Skills: Performance management skills, financial acumen, strategic planning, communication skills, knowledge of industry standards, leadership and interpersonal skills; analytical skills to solve technical problems as well as abstract reasoning to define course of actions when information may be vague or unclear
