Analyzing client documentation improvement processes and key performance indicators, analyzing data for opportunities for improvement, and recognizing anomalies in the data, with ability to make appropriate recommendations to client. Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Guiding Metric improvements using 3M web tools, Pinpoint and Compare, Profiling and 360, CDIS reports, as well as extensive knowledge and experience in all aspects of Clinical Concurrent Documentation Improvement Coaching clients on areas of success as well as areas of needs improvement Presenting summarized data to clients; and discussing the findings in the data. Making recommendations on action items and steps for improvement. Working with a Project Leader to coach and develop that client towards improvement, based on your data analysis Developing customized recommendations for improving client documentation processes and results Expert skills in healthcare data analysis, report writing and verbal presentations Customize reports, discuss and present data to C-level hallway, Medical staff, CDI/HIM management, as well as CDI and in-patient Coding team Able to successfully interpret and apply Medicare and other payer documentation and coding rules Work closely with Client Success Managers, Project Leaders and Sales team to address clients needs and concerns Regulations for DRG assignment May include up to 50% travel Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited university BSN/RN, RHIT, and/or RHIA certification Minimum of five (5) combined years of experience in clinical nursing and clinical documentation improvement and/or hospital coding Minimum of three (3) combined years of analyzing and processing healthcare data, identifying anomalies in current and historical data, and/or recommending corrective courses of action Ability to travel up to 50% of the time Preferred Qualifications: ICD-10 Certified. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (RN), APN, Medical Dr., or a business or health information degree Possess skills in data collection, analysis and math Ability to identify anomalies in current and historical data, and recommend corrective courses of action Proficient in the application of computer skills (e.g., Word, PowerPoint and Excel) Demonstrate ability to improve on these skills through career development activities Consulting experience or comparable experience that demonstrates expert skills in healthcare data analysis Report writing and verbal presentations Record of applying clinical principles to a range of areas Demonstrated ability to identify, access and utilize resources (e.g., government regulations, scientific literature, etc.) Demonstrated skills in technically sound oral and written communications Demonstrated speaking and teaching both for large group settings and remotely Demonstrated medical terminology competence Proven track record in successful client relationships including, but not limited to, add on sales and/or positive client references for 3M Previous experience as an independent 3M Project Lead/Manager strongly
